Technology

myStop

We can tell you when your bus will be at your stop on your phone, smart phone or on the web.

By Phone
Just dial 944-1200 and punch in your bus stop number.  The computer will tell you when the next bus will arrive in real time.  (Every AMTRAN bus stop has stop number on the stop sign.)

By Smart Phone QR Codes
All AMTRAN bus stops have a Quick Response (QR) code for your smart phone posted on the myStop sign. It will tell you when the next bus will arrive in real time.  (QR code readers are usually available as a free download at your App Store.)

On the Web
Go to
myStop on the top menu above. Then click your route and find your stop on the map.  It will tell you when the next bus will arrive in real time.

Rider Alert

We can tell you if your bus goes off route.

Sometimes road construction or bad weather means our buses can’t follow their regular routes.  If you sign up for Rider Alerts here on our website, we can alert you by e-mail or text message when your bus has to go off route.  This is particularly important if you live at Nittany Pointe or College Park because if their maintenance crews do not clear the snow sufficiently, our buses will not go there.  When this happens, we send out a Rider Alert so you can plan around it.

You, the customer, get to choose which bus routes you want to know about.  You decide how you’ll receive the  alert - by e-mail or by text.  You can add routes, change alerts, or even cancel the service at any time.

Don’t miss an important class or event because of weather or detours.  Give Rider Alerts a try.

Bike Racks

All AMTRAN buses now have bike racks if you want to ride your bike to Martin's supermarket or to the Downtown Campus and then ride the bus back.  For more information on how to use AMTRAN's bike rack, watch this video by Penn State Altoona alum, Sam Wagner.
