AMTRAN offers a variety of part and full-time employment opportunities in several different departments. Specific job opportunities are normally advertised on an as-needed basis in local newspapers, such as the Altoona Mirror, as well as national transit-related publications, such as Passenger Transport. AMTRAN also keeps a "rolling" 3-month file of current applications and resumes.

AMTRAN Hires Good Drivers

Most of AMTRAN’s employment opportunities are as bus drivers.  You must be at least 25 years old with a good driving record.  A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred but not required.

Stop by in person to fill out an application.  Our offices are at 3301 Fifth Avenue in Altoona next to Mansion Park.  Our hours are 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  Use the entrance under the awning.
